This weekend the presidents prize was played in perfect golfing weather, cool and dry and the course was pristine condition with Augusta style greens. The President Oliver Curley presented his fabulous prize to Mark Curley who was a very popular winner and who held his cool in the final 9 holes.

The Ladies had their club outing to Dromoland on Saturday where they took on Raffeen Creek GC Cork .Sandra Mooneys sister is Lady Captain there this year so they decided some time ago that there would be a Galway v Cork challenge. Tuam won on the golf course but the Cork side definitely had the edge in the singing stakes in the hotel later. Dromoland was a fabulous venue and the occasion was very sporting and extremely sociable. Tuam results : 1st. Next weekend is the Lady Captains weekend.
Lady Captains scramble on Friday 30th. Draw for partners 5:00 to 6:30.
There will an 18 hole competition for the men of Saturday July 1st and the ladies competing on the Sunday.
The ladies draw for partners will be made on Thursday 29th @ 7.30 pm so if you haven’t put your name on sheet in the locker room, please do it before that.
There is a 9 hole for the ladies not wishing to play in the 18 hole stroke competition. As is custom, afternoon tea is at 4pm and all members past and present are invited to attend.
There will be a shot gun start at 5.30pm for the final 9 holes and the presentation for the men’s and ladies will be at 9pm.
The club wish Sandra and her family a wonderful weekend and hopefully the weather is kind to all the golfers.
