The first fourball of the season proved to be very popular at the weekend with well over eighty entries. Continuing his rich vein of form Martin Murphy came good again, this time with partner Declan King. Their birdie birdie finish won it for them from Martin and Johnny Mulryan, with Johnny having a superb round of golf.
This week’s competition is a two ball scramble over holes 5 to 18 and the handicap allowance is ONE QUARTER of the combined handicaps.

This weeks competition is a 12 hole single Stableford playing holes 5 – 16.

LOTTO
There was no winner of our lotto jackpot worth 20,000 euro. Numbers drawn were 18,20,23,30. We had no match 3’s. Our reserve lotto is mounting up and is now worth 2,300 euro. When the jackpot is won the reserve lotto will become the new jackpot.

Saturday Club
A total of 31 played in the Saturday Club with Paddy Coyne taking the honours once again.

Members are reminded that subs are now due. Our course is in fantastic condition thanks to Mark our Greenskeeper and Peter his assistant. The Greenskeeper and staff have priority on the course. As they sometimes wear protective headphones, it can be difficult for them to hear on the course. Members are asked to be mindful of the course staff at all times.

Thank you to the GUI and ILGU for the very informative rules night that was held last week. Hopefully everyone will be very knowledgeable from here on with the new rules!!
