More than 100 members played in the club competition at the weekend which is very encouraging to see and it is vital that this support continues. A total of four players came in with 38 points but it was Louis Conway who emerged victorious on the breakdown.
Result: 1, Louis Conway (15) 38; 2, Padraig McVeigh (25) 38; 3, Ger Keane (26) 38; Gross, Alan Moran (2) 33. CSS was 34 points.

Midweek AmAm
The midweek am-am proved very successful with more than 40 teams competing, this is despite the weather having been unkind on a number of days.
The winners were Martin Fallon, Karl Powderly and Seamus Treacy with 70 points; second were
Kevin Brady, Bernard Brady and the in-form Padraig McVeigh on 69.
The best ladies team, winning by a point on 56, were Jackie Cullen, Jacqui McGrath and Siobhan Joyce.
The club’s second last am-am runs up until Thursday. This time the format is: two scores at the par 4s and one score at the par 3s and 5s.

Junior Golf
A total of nine teams of three had their first competition of the season. A club member accompanied each group in a scramble inclusive of Lady Captain Ann Treacy and Captain Gerry Cunningham.
There will be a six-hole scramble each week over the summer. The winning team this week was MacDara Donnellan, Eabhaoin Donnellan and Roisin O’Connor. The runner up team were Luka Finn, Rian Finn and James Gilmore. The Junior conveners Maria Coen and Ray Gilmore with the Junior Committee are to be complimented on the success of the event. Any juniors interest in taking part contact the golf club office 093-28993.
Volunteers are needed to accompany participants in the junior competition around the course. Please note participants must have their own clubs as there is no access to spare ones.
All of those taking part in the competition are asked to be at the clubhouse at 9.15am for draw for teams with the start of competition taking place at 9.30am

Galway Races
Tuam Golf Club have opened their clubhouse and Julieann is providing the most superb of food. The club is preparing for Galway Race Week and it will be open for all live races while providing a full bar and restaurant service at the same time.
There will be a Galway Race Week special menu available and members and visitors can avail of this whenever they finish their round. It will be posted up on the website when it becomes available.
The club wish all members and punters the best of luck during Race Week and hope that they have a very rewarding experience.

Bar & Restaurant
The bar and restaurant at Tuam Golf Club is up and running and members are asked to support it as much as possible. It is an important facility for the club.
