The Luke O Brien sponsored V Par competition was played at the weekend and in glorious weather conditions Brendan Whyte put in a glorious back nine to win by one from Louis Conway (obviously inspired by his trip to Lahinch!). Brendan reached the turn in -1 but won eight of the last nine holes… a back nine to remember… sending tournament director David Mahon into shock! Eight other players finished on 5 up on a weekend of really good scores. Once again Morgan Lynch put in a great round to take category 1.
