Despite the biting cold conditions almost 30 members of the Saturday Club turned out for the weekly outing at Tuam Golf Club. The weather conditions did not prevent hot scoring and it was Joe Waters, a veteran of the Saturday Club, who emerged victorious with 28 points for 12 holes just pipping John Burke on the breakdown. The course was in excellent condition despite the adverse weather conditions of late and compliments to the course management and staff. Thanks to Ivor Gleeson for operating the bar service for us.
1, Joe Waters (14) 28;
2, John Burke (8) 28;
3, Bernie O’Brien (26) 27;
4, Michael Cullen (8) 26.
Saturday Club continues as normal this weekend. It will continue until April and confirmation of the ‘away’ outing will be announced very shortly.
