Once again there was a very big entry for the 15 hole club competition over the weekend and scoring in general was exceptionally high with over thirty players having scores in the thirties. Saturday club captain PJ Murphy did the double winning both competitions and putting his team into second place in the winter league. Jerry Bradley must be learning a lot from Tommy Fleming firing in his best score for a while.
1. PJ Murphy (20) 38 pts. 2. Jerry Bradley (19) 37 pts 3. Stephen Woods (13) 36 pts b/d. Gross: Peter Ryan Jnr. (5) 29 g.pts. This week’s competition is over holes 1-5 and 9-18 and is the final qualifying round in the winter league. There are 18 teams in the running for the ten places in the final (with Jimmy McHugh, Anthony McHugh and Ronan Stephens leading the way) so this week’s scores will be vital and every point important!
