There was a large turnout for the MICHAEL LYNCH MEMORIAL tourney (despite the heavy showers) with almost 90 players taking part. Captain’s prize qualifier Dermot Fahy continued his fine form winning by one from the ultra consistent Sean Acton. Dermot has now reduced his handicap by almost five shots in the last three weeks. Ross Kelly showed why he has a PLUS ONE handicap by winning yet another gross.

This is grace week for the club matchplays and it’s great to see so many games being played in advance. In the fourball David McGrath taught his son Ciaran a lesson on how to play proper golf winning 6&5,while in the singles Tommy Fleming continues his excellent matchplay record, beating Derek Quirke to reach the semi- final. Louis Conway & Michael Maloney had a narrow win over John Bodkin & Pete Fahy.
