It had been hoped to return to competitive golf this week but the Expert Group on the return to Sport decided, on public health grounds, that no competitive sport should take place during Phase 2. The GUI and ILGU have informed all golf clubs in Ireland that competitions should start from Monday 29th June.

Casual golf will remain in place until then and members are being asked to adhere to the guidelines that are currently being recommended along with social distancing.

The course remains in excellent condition and it is a tribute to the staff and the many volunteers who are continuing to help out at every available opportunity. It has been a joint effort on everyone’s part and it is much appreciated.
