Mens results 26/11/23
This weekend’s competition, which incorporated round 2 of the winter league, was won by Tommy Fleming (39) with a massive 40 points. This puts Tommy’s team top of the league table. Second is Bernard Brady (25) on 37 points. Third, with a round that included 9 pars and 1 birdie, is Johnny Kelly (14) on 35 points. Mark Kerrisk (10) is fourth on 34 points (on a b/d). The 14 holes in play for next weekend’s competition (and round 3 of the league) are 1-12, 17, and 18. Holes 13,14, 15, and 16 are now closed.Ladies results.

There were no winners of our lotto jackpot worth €5,600. Numbers drawn were 10, 11, 12, 16. Congratulations to Michael Clancy who was our lucky dip winner.

Saturday Club
There were 37 keen golfers playing in the Saturday Club outing last weekend at Tuam Golf Club as they took full advantage of the cold but dry conditions. Not surprisingly, the scoring was impressive with Bernard Brady returning an incredible 37 points for 14 holes. Result (14 holes): 1st Bernard Brady (25) 3pts; 2nd Tom Coen (27) 35pts; 3rd PJ Murphy (25) 33pts; 4th Gerry Cunningham (22) 32pts. The Christmas ‘bottles’ outing takes place on Saturday, December 9.

Goats Golf
A total of 33 retired members of Tuam Golf Club played in their weekly Goats competition and the scoring was impressive. Result (14 holes): 1st Kevin Scully 33pts; 2nd Tomas Treacy 33pts; 3rd Michael Barrett 32pts; 4th Michael O’Connell 32pts. Following this week’s result, Gerry Cunningham has now gone four points ahead of Michael Casserly in the Golfer of the Year standings with just one more competition to count.
